The Magna-Plug (patent pending) by Exceltec Inc is a magnetic connector primarily designed to reduce cable and probe breakage in manufacturing processes, translating in reduced production interruptions and cost savings.
The Magna-Plug features a male and a female connector. A female connector variant is also available for panel mounting.
The body of the connectors is made of food grade FDA approved Teflon. It is reinforced with a stainless-steel ring for added stiffness. Cable glands located on the exterior of the Magna-Plug, can accommodate various cable diameters. The connector is completely waterproof and submersible, meeting IP67 rating specifications, but the key element of this connector is the magnet inside. The current version of this magnetic connector comes with 6 pins that can accommodate up to 20 AWG conductors.
