Why Magna-Plug connectors

We have developed Magna-Plug to reduce cable breakage due to pulling. Once stress or pulling is applied to the cable, the Magna-Plug disconnects without causing damage to the cable or equipment.

Reconnection is simple, rapid and fool proof. As you put the Magna-Plug connectors closer to each other, the magnets automatically align and make the connection instantly on the same pins every time. It is impossible to reverse polarity of the connections.

Magna-PlugV2 now meets harsh environments requirements; it passes IP67 specifications, meaning it is completely submersible and dust resistant.

How ThermalTrace can help reduce waste and save time

ThermalTrace is a predictive temperature monitoring system designed for the food industry; more specifically, meat transformation. It is a wireless batch-based data acquisition system that follows a recipe from oven to blast. It allows operators to monitor the temperature during the entire cooking cycle.

ThermalTrace monitors cooking recipes in real time, predicts recipe completion, and warns operators, on their computer or mobile device, if it predicts that the cooking cycle will not be completed at the planned time. This way, the temperature can be readjusted to ensure that the recipe will be completed as planned. Once the whole process is completed, ThermalTrace prints out a report that includes a graph, readings, customer information and alarms.

ThermalTrace hardware includes wireless dataloggers attached to a temperature probe, and they can be hooked to meat racks. The device communicates with an industrial encased LoRaWAN receiver throughout the process. The LoraWan protocole travels much longer distances than WIFI and it travels through steel doors; a great advantage in a factory setting.

Main Difference between glass and ISFET pH probes

Glass pH probes measure the hydrogen ion concentration in a solution, while ISFET pH probes measure the hydrogen ion activity. The difference lies in the fact that the hydrogen ion activity takes into account not just the concentration of the ions but also their interaction with other ions in the solution.

This is why ISFET pH probes are often considered more accurate than glass pH probes, especially in complex solutions where there may be a lot of competing ions. Additionally, ISFET pH probes are not affected by changes in temperature, as glass pH probes can be.
